DURING AUGUST ROAD WORKS ARE TAKING PLACE ON THE A30.
PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY
SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS
With effect from 19th July works will be entering phase 2.
During this phase the westbound on-slip at Avers intersection and the westbound off-slip at Tolvaddon junction will be closed for the first three and a half weeks.
Traffic wishing to access the A30 to travel west from Avers intersection will be diverted east on the A30 to the Chiverton roundabout where it will be directed to return westwards along the A30.
Westbound traffic wishing to exit the A30 at Tolvaddon junction will be diverted on the A30, then off at Treswithian junction to return eastwards to exit at Tolvaddon junction.
Cyclists are reminded that they must not ride through this section of the A30 whilst the works are ongoing because narrow lanes in opertaion make it extremely dangerous to do so. There is a legal order in force prohibiting cycling for the duration of the works and cyclists who ignore this could be liable for prosecution.
Tractor drivers are requested to use alternative routes to avoid causing congestion through the works.
Phase 2:
There will be a contraflow on the eastbound carriageway with one lane in use on the westbound carriageway to maintain the three lanes required. Overnight this will become a full contraflow on the eastbound carriageway. During this phase, verge and nearside lane works will be undertaken during the day, and other carriageway works undertaken overnight.
This phase will be completed prior to the August Bank Holiday weekend, when two lanes of traffic will be available in both directions.

Many thanks must go to all our helpers, judges and course builders, without whom the club would not function. We are still looking for some more help to set up the ring & show jumping course before each show, so we have a white board & pen beside the judge’s box & if anyone has the time to help during the season please write your name & telephone number beside the date most convenient to you.
We are “rewarding” all those who turn up & help build – see any committee member for details.
